Being diabetes doesn’t mean you have to miss out in all the good things of life. No that’s not true.

Can a diabetic patient have sex?
Yes!!!

Does being a Diabetic patients affects your sexual life?
Well, yes if your blood sugar is not properly controlled.

A very common sexual health issue seen in people with Diabetes is a decrease in libido, or lower or loss of sex drive.

Now, even without being Diabetic, excessive sugar affects the overall performance of sex, especially in the male Gender.

High blood sugar levels can affect or damage your nerves and blood vessels, which is called diabetic neuropathy. This means that they can also affect the ones that supply blood to your sexual organs and this can lead to erectile dysfunction (ED) In male diabetic patients.

Diabetes Neuropathy may also inhibit orgasm or make it difficult to feel sexual stimulation. This side effects can make sex painful and unenjoyable.

For women, the most common sexual health issue that’s comes with diabetes is vaginal dryness. This can be as a result of hormonal changes or reduced blood flow to the genitals.

Women who have diabetes have increased rates of vaginal infections and inflammation. Both of these can make sex painful.

Women with diabetes are also likely to have more frequent urinary tract infections (UTIs). This also makes sex painful and uncomfortable.

It is paramount for every diabetic patients to try as much as possible to manage and control your blood sugar, to enable live a fulfilled and normal life.
